Curious for a sneak peek? Just a 5-minute walk away, you'll find the tasting room and restuarant House of Bird, where you can indulge in breakfast or lunch, taste a Bird Brewery house-brewed beer (they have 18 beers on tap!), enjoy delightful coffee and tea (with pastries), and even dine on weekends. In the picturesque town of Rhenen, you'll discover charming boutiques alongside well-known supermarkets, drugstores, and Hema. Don't miss clothing shops Rootz and Bebop as well as a fantastic deli store Smits Specialiteiten. Rhenen also boasts excellent dining options at renowned restaurants like Het Oude Gemeentehuis and 't Kalkoentje. Fancy a glass of wine with fantastic tapas? Head to Vino y Mas, or savor delicious pizza and pasta at restaurant Piatto!

Immerse yourself in culture and history with visits to the gorgeous Cunerakerk, Amerongen Castle, and the military cemetery on the Grebbeberg. We also recommend exploring the Sculpture Gallery Het Depot in Wageningen. Stroll through diverse buildings and the corresponding sculpture gardens for hours of enjoyment. For sports enthusiasts, there are countless hiking and cycling trails, mountain biking and gravel biking paths, and several swimming pools for laps. The suites provide a hiking guidebook with stunning routes and you can find them listed on our Tips list.

Children have plenty to enjoy in the area as well. Ouwehand Zoo is a popular choice, but within a 5-minute bike ride, there's a holiday park where, for a small fee, you can swim in the outdoor pool (accompanied by a terrace and restaurant!). Veenendaal (10 minutes by car) houses Vallei Pool with fantastic indoor and outdoor pools and The Maxx, a vast indoor activity center offering karting, laser tag, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, escape rooms, and much more. Additionally, there are various pancake houses, bowling alleys, and mini-golf courses in Rhenen and the neighboring villages. And the list goes on and on!
